About the role:
At FIS, the world’s preeminent financial technology company, the IBS / Horizon core sales team is comprised of FIS’ most strategic sellers who are responsible for driving growth across all segments of FIS - banking, payments, digital, treasury solutions, fraud, IP and image, wealth, capital markets, trust solutions, and transformational services – with IBS/Horizon core being the focal point of each sale.
Primary market focus is community / regional retail and commercial banking in North America.
As a Senior Sales Executive - Quota Carrier, you will be part of a team of self-motivated, high-achieving sales focused on Community Core Banking responsible for growing mid-market banking opportunities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Specifically, this role drives the consultative selling process based on a solid understanding of our client's business and their technology investment objectives, which drive capital spending. This includes discovering and identifying product needs by utilizing industry knowledge and working with Solutions Architects to develop and recommend comprehensive solutions for clients.
What you will be doing:
- (S)He will work collaboratively at a high level with internal and external customers in Sales and Product to optimize and leverage all product/sales capabilities and build them into the short- and long-term pre-sales strategy.
- Achieve sales proficiency with our products and solutions to effectively position and present our Core Banking solutions to prospective and current customers, including carrying a conversation with the necessary level of functional business and technology knowledge.
- Build the alignment of client objectives to our solutions to deliver the most impactful value propositions for our clients.
- Obtain a solid understanding of our solution offerings, practices, and services to represent our solutions and understand client requirements in context.
- Produce proposals and presentations to prospects and leads regarding technical compatibility and feasibility and, when required, contribute to developing the pre-sales strategy.
- Work across our internal team's influence/shape the selling message and strategy.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Sales.
- Experience presenting at the executive levels, CEO/CIO/COO, etc.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Understand how to manage “C-Level” sales, with experience and a fundamental understanding of solutions selling, with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships at a senior level, gaining client trusted advisor status.
- Great planner – have a plan, work the plan, re-evaluate the plan on an ongoing basis and revise it as necessary.
- Experience with CRM tools to track/report pipeline and achieve sales targets
- Leads and develops a sales strategy using client growth plans, budget, and project timelines.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $143,610.00 - $236,950.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
