ICF is seeking Legal/Intake and Transition Coordinators to work on a national technical assistance project. The purpose of this project is to provide legal services for Unaccompanied Children post-release from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) care and custody and to expand the legal community’s skills and capacity to provide immigration legal support. PRS Legal/Intake and Transition Coordinators will receive information from PRS service providers regarding the legal needs of unaccompanied children (UC) post-release from ORR care. Referrals may also come directly from UC and/or sponsors. PRS Legal/Intake Coordinators will be responsible for gathering and documenting intake information related to needed legal representation and coordinating with the Legal Triage Director(s) for prioritization and matching. In addition, this role will support tracking of cases and client cases through final disposition. This position reports to the Intake/Transition Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal/Intake and Transition Coordinator responsibilities include:
- Setting up case files in the case management system.
- Complete legal services intake screens.
- Sending complete information to the Legal Triage Director(s) for prioritization and matching.
- Establish good working relationships with assigned PRS providers and any other related ORR contract provider who may serve as a referral source for post-release legal services.
- Collaborate with our legal services team on cases transitioning to pro bono legal assignments based on case status.
- Collaborate with pro bono legal providers on case status as necessary.
- Communicate quarterly with Unaccompanied Children/sponsor families related to case status through closure and any potential identified needs. Provide information on services to meet identified needs.
- Ensure all cases are updated quarterly and closed out in the case management system when appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work.
- 2+ years of experience in direct services provision with children and/or families.
- English/Spanish bilingual
- 1+ years of experience with unaccompanied minors and refugee programs.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of migrant/refugee issues, particularly related to UC and sponsor families and the processes/documentation required for legal determinations.
- Education and/or experience in the application of race equity, diversity, and inclusion of social justice strategies in human service settings.
- Working knowledge of the refugee, immigrant, and asylee challenges.
- Experience working for a refugee program.
- Experience working with the legal community.
- Prior work experience in a consulting environment.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$57,737.00 - $98,153.00
