Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance team at DTN! We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Revenue to provide analytical support for current and future financial planning, reporting, and trend analysis. The ideal candidate will embrace technical innovation and effectively present revenue data to senior stakeholders.

About the role:

As our Senior Accountant - Revenue, you will collaborate with the Finance team on activities related to all revenue streams. You will own and be responsible for managing and enhancing reporting systems to produce information for budgeting, forecasting, and managing all revenue streams.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, Cost of Sales accruals, ownership of Global Capex, and month-end close reporting processes.

  • Maintain detailed records of company fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.

  • Review depreciation schedules and ensure alignment with the useful life and condition of assets.

  • Prepare and support internal and external audits related to fixed assets.

  • Support the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting package

  • Assist with independent auditors to facilitate a successful audit and provide documentation requests, as necessary.

  • Ability to communicate with multiple teams within the company and address questions as well as cultivate strong relationships.

  • Performs consistent self-review to ensure accuracy of work.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and improve accuracy through automation and best practices.

  • The ability to handle multiple priorities and ad-hoc projects from leaders.

What you will bring to the role:

  • A self-starter mentality, taking initiative and actively seeking out information to drive and communicate financial insights and building reports and presentations.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting systems including Excel, SAP, Workday and other accounting ERP software preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively when building and maintaining client relationships.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a matrixed environment.

  • Prior experience in M&A.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $71,000 and $95,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
