We are seeking a highly motivated manager to join the Quality Management team in our National Professional Standards Group, focusing on our assurance practice’s system of quality management (SOQM). This role will sit 100% remote with limited travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and continually improve the design & implementation of the assurance practice’s SOQM in compliance with professional and regulatory standards. This includes working with stakeholders across the firm to document and enhance process narratives and internal controls.
  • Perform design and implementation readiness procedures for new and changed internal controls.
  • Assist with risk assessment for the assurance SOQM and identification of quality risks and responses.
  • Participate in remediation of SOQM and inspection findings.
  • Effectively collaborate across multiple groups, disciplines, and geographies.
  • Improve the quality of our assurance practice through SOQM initiatives and lead various SOQM related projects.
  • Develop and facilitate training and assist with updates to firm manuals and tools.
  • Demonstrate high level organization and project management skills.
  • Embrace and facilitate change management and exercise the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Operate in a self-directed manner.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and expertise in emerging topics in Professional Standards, specifically in the areas of quality management and control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
  • CPA or CA Certification
  • Understanding of assurance services and internal control systems
  • 4+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting firm, within the assurance practice or process, risk and controls consulting practice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CIA Certification
  • Experience working on public company or equivalent financial statement audits
  • Experience designing and implementing internal control systems (e.g. SOX, ICFR)

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $97,200 - $195,300

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
