Yahoo Sports is the sports epicenter of the internet, dedicated to making sports fans smarter and enriching their connections to the teams and leagues they love. We are seeking a dynamic Sales Packaging Manager to join our team and drive product and content monetization strategies for Yahoo Sports.
The Sales Packaging Manager will play a crucial role in maximizing and optimizing revenue for the Yahoo Sports portfolio. By creatively constructing scalable packaging opportunities, this role will support our Account Directors with both proactive and reactive solutions, leveraging strong expertise in product, content, and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and track pitch activity by tentpole, franchises, and product to maximize revenue.
Develop and optimize direct monetization strategies in collaboration with Business Operations and Product/Content leads.
Drive innovation by creating new ad products and monetization opportunities, including new social platform offerings.
Partner with Sports content and product teams to innovate roadmaps that meet customer needs and empower Sales & Strategy initiatives.
Build go-to-market (GTM) strategies for sports solutions catalogs, collaborating with Solutions, GTM, and revenue operations teams.
Work closely with Product & Content strategy leads to understand and influence monetization-focused roadmaps and redesigns.
Communicate cross-functionally with Account Management, Ad Operations, Strategy, and Sales to inform on the latest packages and ad products.
Facilitate marketplace feedback from Sales & Solutions to impact future content and product strategies.
Develop GTM media plans and internal instructions for all sports direct-sold offerings.
Manage client-specific requests and changes to templatized Sports media plans.
Collaborate with Sports Strategy on client-specific proposals.
Partner with Pricing and Yield Management (PYM) to estimate supply, approvals, and pricing strategy for Property Advertising Programs.
Create templated media plans for tentpoles and franchises for deployment across a large sales organization.
Key experience and skills include:
Ability to both think strategically and work in the details
Proven experience in managing direct revenue with a strong understanding of indirect revenue.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Expertise in product and content strategy, with an ability to influence and evaluate roadmaps.
Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on maximizing revenue opportunities
Qualifications/skills:
Build-mentality with strong attention to detail and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
Strong analytical skills, including forecasting, impact assessment, and statistical analysis.
Deep understanding of how to productize and operationalize new products, partnerships, and monetization strategies.
Comfortable questioning conventional wisdom and eager to take initiative, with the ability to identify and develop creative solutions.
Ability to maintain current plans in the face of uncertain and shifting schedules and priorities.
Effectively prioritize and drive task execution in a fast-paced environment.
Solid communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Strong understanding of new platforms, ad products, and monetization trends.
High proficiency in GSuite and other productivity tools.
At least 5 years of experience in ad sales/operations, product marketing, and/or account management for digital products or campaigns.
Relevant experience required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $122,625.00 - $255,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
