** This position will ideally be based out of our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX and will be hybrid. Individuals need to be willing to commute to Downtown Austin 2 days a week. We will also consider individuals in DFW, San Antonio and Houston. Candidates based in other geographies across the U.S. will also be considered for a remote role. **
Sr. Accountant of Fixed Assets and Corporate Accounting

Job Summary:
Thrive is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant of Fixed Assets and Corporate Accounting to join our Accounting team.
The person in this role will be responsible for implementing best practice policies and procedures to ensure the accurate, complete, and timely accounting for our fixed assets, insurance, goodwill, and intangibles. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented and self-starter with a knack for working independently in a high-volume and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own fixed assets accounting process, including management of the fixed asset subledger
- Manage the capitalized asset process end to end while working cross functionally with our Real Estate, Facilities, Construction, Accounts Payable and Lease Accounting teams
- Manage goodwill and intangibles activity in the general ledger and subledger
- Contribute as an essential member of the monthly close and year end external audit processes, responding to audit and interdepartmental requests and inquiries
- Book and review journal entries; perform monthly account reconciliations and associated analyses
- Complete financial reporting deliverables
- Provide ad-hoc analysis for senior management and financial reporting function
- Review and analyze monthly operating expense activity for new and existing practice locations
- Support long-term accounting projects to create efficiencies and enhance effectiveness
- Assist the Manager and Sr. Director in various tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Degree in finance considered for the right candidate
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 3+ years of a combination of public accounting and industry experience
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- High detail-orientation and multi-tasker
- Solid understanding of internal controls
- Workday experience a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
