Summary of Position:
As the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will supervise a design team and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion. You will apply your experience in: HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection and fuel systems. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of mechanical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings.
- Produce design plans, calculations and reports with limited direction.
- Coordinate with subconsultants, provide client interaction support, establish and maintain phase and task level budgets as well as schedule project phases and tasks.
- Schedule production staff and lead them through tasks, coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
- Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with general building mechanical design production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail or restaurants
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- P.E. License preferrable
- AutoCAD and MS Office Required; Revit is a plus
Team:
You will work with a team of Design Engineers, Professional Engineers and Project Managers.
Work Location:
This is a hybrid role based out of our Somerville, NJ office. The expectation is to be in the office a few days a month,
