The Position:

We are looking for eager, driven candidates with experience in events management, program management, client communications, and facilitation to develop impactful solutions for the General Services Administration. In this role, the Program Management and Events Specialist will assist in the rollout of a cloud-based project management software and ensure successful implementation of new organizational processes. Some responsibilities include:  

  • Supporting all aspects of client engagements from defining the strategy of a project to preparing final deliverables
  • Managing the project planning and team support of the client’s event strategy, and supporting product, content, and community strategy aligned with client needs.
  • Providing exceptional project management support and ensuring delivery of effective content aligned with client needs.
  • Managing and hosting events, including summits, webinars, huddles, and other events.
  • Building relationships and working with government agencies and other stakeholders to host engaging event.
  • Using websites, mailing lists, newsletters, social media, and other channels and tools to market events.
  • Monitoring the performance of events, regularly looking at analytics, and making recommendations based on the data.
  • Suggesting the best way to improve events if current options don’t meet user needs.
  • Working collaboratively across teams to roll out new solutions and improve existing ones.
  • Understanding policies for federal websites and digital services.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of client issues, needs, and contexts.
  • Sharing insights, results, and recommendations in a comprehensible manner through both written presentations/reports and interactions with teams/clients.
  • Provide exceptional logistics and program management support to the client. 
  • Support critical internal firm contribution functions such as strategic planning, business development, training, and recruiting.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working a consulting/professional services, client facing role, preferably in the public sector supporting federal clients.
  • Understanding of the requirements, environmental factors, organizations, activities, constraints, risks, and motivations impacting federal clients.
  • Strong creative problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

The Location:

Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.

The Fine Print:

  • The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $130,000
  • Expected travel 0-10%; may increase based on business needs 
  • This is an exempt, full-time position
  • Essential Physical Functions
    • Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time
    • Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
