US Certified Medical Coder

ABOUT THE JOB: 
Open to Philippine residents ONLY! 

One of our US-based clients is looking to hire a Home Health Scheduler to manage, maintain, and update schedules of US-based medical/healthcare providers going around to each patient's home. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job duties may be modified based on experience and fit within the company.

Responsible for correctly coding Healthcare claims to obtain reimbursement from insurance companies.
Responsible for reviewing medical records to assign procedure and diagnosis codes to daily charges correctly
Knowledgeable of coding guidelines
Knowledgeable in coding Local and National Coverage Determination Guidelines
Remains current on new codes and updates to coders' practices
Identifies and clarifies missing, conflicting, or nonspecific clinician documentation related to diagnosis and procedures.
Participates with medical staff to resolve coding issues and associated problems.
Assist the Billing Department as needed.
 

MUST HAVES: 

• A certified medical coder with CPC from AAPC is REQUIRED.
• At least 1 year of US medical coding experience 
• Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner
• Display a positive attitude and perseverance when challenged 
• Must demonstrate/show high commitment to be a part of the team 
• HIPAA Compliance 
• Tech-Savvy - willing to learn new platforms 
• Demonstrate strong English communication skills both written and verbal 
• Demonstrate collaboration and effective team-playing skills 
• Knowledge and experience in US Healthcare  
• Must have own equipment/tools 
  • PC/Laptop - minimum of i3 / Ryzen 3 processor and at least 8GB RAM 
  • Main Internet Service Provider - must be a wired connection with at least 25mbps internet speed 
  • Backup Internet Service Provider - can either be a wired connection or a wireless connection (modem broadband or pocket wifi) with at least 10mbps for both upload and download speed
