Recycling and Waste

We continue to expand our recycling and waste business footprint throughout North America through organic growth and targeted acquisitions. We aggregate materials at scale, unlocking new opportunities for advanced recycling. In addition, we are cross-selling new products and services to better meet our customers’ specific needs.

Environmental Solutions

SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION

Republic’s recent innovations to advance circularity and decarbonization demonstrate our unique ability to leverage sustainability as a platform for growth.

The Republic Services Polymer Center is the nation’s first integrated plastics recycling facility. This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.

We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.

    POSITION SUMMARY: ​The Senior Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Administrator will assist in enhancing and supporting the Oracle ERP Software as a Service (SaaS) and other technical components associated within the Oracle computing environment.  The incumbent will work closely with our applications development team to maintain the cloud environments and design the workflows and security needed for a stable environment. The Senior Oracle Cloud ERP Administrator will be responsible for our Oracle Cloud ERP system update implementation, maintenance, growth, and integration with other systems. The incumbent will work with vendors, Business Analysts, Business Owners, and other stakeholders to provide hands-on functional and technical implementation, and on-going support.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs daily administration and end-user support of Oracle ERP Cloud. This includes managing multiple user setups, business rules, and permission sets, customization of objects, data backups, configure workflows, and monitor service notifications.
    • Manages all Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle Cloud operations to coordinate and complete any Administration tasks.
    • Participates in release and change management.
    • Manages and creates Oracle Fusion Instances. Should be capable of communicating about instance refresh with Oracle support team/Business team.
    • Manages Network security groups, User groups, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and compartments. Assists in the implementation of security practices by monitoring login and user activity, deactivating unused users, and auditing field and profile access and security permissions.
    • Performs data imports and exports, data integrity and data management tasks.
    • Creates and maintains documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and user guides as needed.
    • Manages backup and restore of databases/Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) instances, Disaster recovery. Configures Cloud service backups and object storage.
    • Provisions Oracle Autonomous transaction processing Database (ATP), OIC and reduces the manual effort by developing automation scripts. Monitors services access, availability of instances, performance and usage.
    • Configures, manages, audits and alerts on security of environments and implements best practices for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and SaaS services.
    • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proficient knowledge of administrative tasks related to OIC and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
    • Understanding of OIC integration configurations and functionality
    • Advanced knowledge on Oracle cloud Infrastructure services.
    • Knowledge on oracle ERP and Database administration.
    • Knowledge on Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) databases, Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Cloning.
    • Understanding of oracle system security and necessary skills to ensure security and availability of the system.
    • Working knowledge on Linux Operating System and proficient in Power Shell, Bash scripting.
    • Expert problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • 4 -7 Years of overall relevant work experience required.
    • Experience administering Oracle fusion ERP applications including OCI and OIC framework (including monitoring new environment set up).
