The Boomi Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing integration solutions using the Boomi platform. This role will focus on ensuring seamless integration of enterprise applications, data, and processes across both on-premise and cloud environments. The selected candidate for this position must be in the Central or Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Follow best practices and specific internal procedures and standards to develop and support Boomi Integration platform.

• Develop and deploy Boomi integration processes, APIs, and connectors for EDI data exchange.

• Develop and maintain the enterprise integration strategy, leveraging the Boomi platform for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid integrations.

• Mentor EDI Developers/support team members on technical issues and best practices.

• Provide architecture recommendations guidance and communication for EDI projects.

• Document integration processes, technical specifications, and changes for future reference and knowledge sharing.

• Define best practices for designing, developing, and deploying integrations, APIs, and workflows in Boomi.

• Provide expertise in migrating, consolidating and integration multiple middleware solutions to create seamless integration environment.

• Collaborate with enterprise architects and IT leadership to define the integration roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology objectives.

• Design reusable integration components, APIs, and connectors to streamline future projects.

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify integration needs, and translate them into technical solutions.

• Collaborate with other IT teams, including security, data, and infrastructure, to ensure integrated systems meet business and regulatory requirements.

• Continuously review and improve the scalability and efficiency of Boomi based integrations.

• Provide system support for issues that affect the EDI and API environment and its 24/7 availability.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.

• Proven experience as a Boomi Developer with hands-on experience in building integration solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of Boomi, including Boomi AtomSphere, API management, data mapping, and process design.

• Experience Implementation of Deployment automation (CI/CD) and experience with EDI

• Experience sizing, design and implementing high availability Boomi platform on-prem and Cloud (preference Azure Cloud). 

• Good understanding of API Design, Implementation and Management Concepts

• Monitor, Support and Identify and resolve the system integration issues including checking for any issues with the operation of the new integration services.

• Proficient in understanding micro services and container technologies (Docker, K8S)

• Good experience in developing and implementing Web Services/APIs WebServices (REST and/or SOAP based) and complex XML schemas and data mapping, as well as X12 (850, 856,810, 855 etc.), flat files, XML, csv and other file formats.

• Extensive experience with EDI standards and protocols such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, and SFTP

• Boomi and Project management certifications preferred.

• Hands-on experience with software design practices (SDLC) relational databases and EDI applications/tools development technologies (OpenText: Trusted Link, Trailblazer, or any leading EDI tools)

• Strong understanding of integration patterns and best practices for cloud and on-premises systems.

• Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, including Azure, and other SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle).

• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM).
