Job responsibilities

 

The Credit and Funding Analyst is responsible for the effective and timely adjudication of customer loan applications. The role performs ongoing comprehensive customer credit analyses and write-ups by thoroughly and accurately analyzing customers credit history, understanding, and interpreting loan applications, and utilizing credit bureaus to make individual loan recommendations that meet company policies and guidelines. The role works with a significant daily volume of applications and documents and is required to obtain missing and/or confirm existing customer information on loan applications with a strong focus on minimizing losses from credit fraud. 

 

  • Perform detailed analysis of the customer, focusing on capacity to pay and cash flow coverage 
  • Analyze credit reports and financial statements and verify values for assets
  • Analyze customer loan applications and determine customer affordability by reviewing customer credit history, employment, and income according to established guidelines
  • Perform credit analysis and write-ups for submission
  • Perform structured and analytic functions on loan applications through the company’s credit decisioning system
  • Manage the application process to improve speed, quality, and compliance
  • Ensure customer loan applications are properly and accurately investigated, evaluated and documented
  • Complete risk assessments and develop recommendations as to the appropriate course action for customer loan applications
  • Follow up on outstanding loan related information and manage the credit review process for assigned loan applications
  • Analyze all aspects of a situation to gain thorough insight to make decisions and identify key components of a problem to formulate a solution
  • Report and escalate any unusual occurrences or fraudulent activities in the loan application process per established procedures
  • Seek or clarify information regarding loan application documentation in a professional and efficient manner
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of document generation
  • Respond to customer requests for information by way of phone or email
  • Process requests for copies of lease documentation, or documentation as requested by the customer
  • Calculate and process requests for payouts
  • Manage and process requests for insurance renewals- LOA, POA
  • Verify documentation against audit checklist, ensuring all original lease and loan documents are included in the funding request file
  • Verify the validity and accuracy of lease and loan agreements in entirety
  • Assist in the preparation of funding and reporting packages by gathering required information and ensuring accuracy
  • Ensure accurate and timely review of final funding packages 
  • Use a high level of organization to keep and maintain all records of funding tranches   
  • Request required post funding documents to complete files 
  • Respond to securitization partners questions regarding proposed assignment of funding packages 
  • Use a high level of communication to ensure funding timeline for tranches are met 
  • Verify funding packages are complete and accurate prior to submission to securitization partners 
  • Assist the account managers with required funding information

  • Experience working in a call centre environment is required

  • Fluent in English and French is an asset
