About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Events Marketing Manager who can contribute independently as well as work effectively with a team that’s growing a modern commercial insurance product from the ground up!

This role will not only execute upon events - but help us define our strategy, and our internal culture as we greatly expand our field presence and rapidly grow our team.

In this role you’ll work closely with sales and marketing teams to define the right event presence, set standards for how the brand will show up, enable our sales, safety and partnership teams to host smaller events, and help us define how we do our internal events here at Nirvana.

This role is ideal for someone who knows how to manage excellent events, but wants to work more closely to build strategy, gain experience in adjacent marketing roles and build company culture.

This is a great opportunity for someone to stretch themselves and move into adjacent marketing or people strategy roles, or stay in events and grow our presence + prove value to greatly expand our footprint.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner Agency Events

    • Coordinate logistics, including booth setup, promotional materials, and staffing.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner companies to enhance collaboration.

  • Regional Events and Dinners:

    • Plan, organize, and execute regional events and dinners to strengthen Nirvana Insurance's partner relations in key markets.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of regional events - including ensuring the room is filled with the right people.

    • Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and oversee event logistics.

  • Key Industry Events:

    • Identify, prioritize, and manage Nirvana Insurance's presence at 5-8 key industry events each year.

    • Coordinate all aspects of event participation, including (in rare cases) booth design, ancillary events, staffing, and post-event follow-up.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to maximize Nirvana Insurance's impact.

  • Internal Events and Retreats:

    • Plan and execute internal events, such as our company wide kick-off, retreats, and celebrations.

    • Collaborate with HR and leadership to define an internal events strategy that creates a culture you're proud of

    • Manage logistics, including venue selection, catering, and program development.

About you:

  • 2-5 years of B2B event management experience

  • Proven track record of successful event management, pipeline generation and partnership with sales and marketing

  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal

  • Thorough critical thinker who isn’t afraid to make decisions

  • Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty & stretch yourself

  • Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions & results

  • Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Medical, dental & vision insurance

  • 401k with company match
