APN Consulting has an immediate need for a direct client requirement:
Job Title: Public Relations Specialist
Location: Remote (EST or CST preferred, but open to all)
Duration: 12 months

Public Relations Specialist – B2B:
Client is looking for a Public Relations Specialist to help increase the visibility of commercial and B2B news through business announcements, client news, executive thought leadership campaigns, and external content development. You'll work with the Associate Director, Public Relations, the Communications team, and agency partners to execute corporate communications campaigns and support business initiatives across the USGH and HHS business units.

Responsibilities include:
  • Mine innovative stories and identify media opportunities for Client Health's core business areas based on news cycles, healthcare trends and business objectives
  • Support the drafting and editing of public and executive facing public relations documents including press releases, fact sheets, interview messaging and briefing materials
  • Generate and maintain media lists including contacts and subscriptions, conduct relevant industry research, and compile summary reports for campaigns
  • Manage incoming media requests and triage appropriately; monitor B2B and commercial media coverage
  • Partner with peer Comms teams, cross-functional internal teams, and agency partners to build content calendars to support business unit priorities, announcements, and external engagements
  • Manage deadlines and deliverables for summation reports of campaigns, media activities, interviews, and content for commercial and B2B.

Core competencies :
  • Public relations – ideally healthcare or another B2B regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of healthcare trade media landscape and B2B outlets
  • Attention to detail, while running with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Clear and confident written and oral communication
  • Great project management and time management skills
  • Flexible mindset and enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Strong desire for on-the-job learning and growth
