Twilio is looking for a talented and results driven person who is passionate about Canada Payroll and who lives the Twilio Magic

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the payroll processing for Canada and serve as back up support to the US payroll team.
  • Ensure remittances for taxes are processed on time and in compliance with Federal and Provincial guidelines. 
  • Follow standard processes and controls to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Preparation of vendor payroll input templates for submission via the payroll vendor platform.
  • Effectively collaborate with the payroll vendor to ensure that all pay impacting transactions are collected, processed, and reported timely and accurately.
  • Assist the Accounting Team with inquiries related to the payroll general ledger balances.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and provide support and input when required.
  • Deliver excellent employee experience in relation to ServiceNow queries within established SLAs.
  • Understand employment tax requirements relating to compensation and benefits, including equity.
  • Maintain documentation of all payroll SOPs ensuring consistent and accurate processes.
  • Assist with annual preparation of PIER, T4s and T2200s.
  • Adhere to all legal and internal deadlines.

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience processing payroll for Canada
  • Previous Workday experience 
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, statutory laws, and Employment Standards Act.
  • Discipline and ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills while keeping customer experience top of mind

Desired:

  • NPI Certification preferred
  • Previous Equity Processing experience preferred
  • US payroll experience a plus

Location 

This role will be remote, based in Alberta, British Columbia or Ontario. Minimal travel is anticipated.
