In this vital role, the Access Strategy Lead for Oncology and Hematology Biosimilars is accountable for several current Amgen biosimilars assets and future biosimilar launches. You will oversee the comprehensive planning, design, execution, and monitoring of the global pricing and access strategy for assigned products. Additionally, you will implement pricing governance for these products in the Top 10 Markets. This position reports to the Senior Director of Value & Access. Key focus include:

Responsibilities
  • Generates global price strategy and global price guidance to establish pricing governance framework for launching assigned biosimilar brands and support launches globally

  • Reviews and recommends updates to pricing policies on an annual basis for in-line brands based on evolving brand strategy

  • Performs the end-to-end assessment of affiliate business cases for price changes in Top 10 Markets

  • Advises on pricing business cases from rest of world countries, ensuring value and access strategy is adhered to

  • Lead payer research activities to guide brand strategy and support the generation and maintenance of value materials and toolkits

  • Lead the Global Access Team for assigned biosimilars, coordinating efforts across key Top 10 markets

  • Work closely with global commercial and medical teams on brand strategy and provide active participation in brand and product teams

  • Handle life cycle management activities and ensure informed portfolio management: Assessing trade-offs between volume, profitability, supply, and reference pricing impact

  • Contributes to global operational pricing workstreams related to systems, processes, and analytics

  • Works closely with Business Analytics and Insights and Commercial teams to plan for different forecast scenarios depending on market dynamics and competitive intelligence

We are a team of Global Access Strategy Leads overseeing Biosimilar and Established brands. This role is part of the Global Operational Pricing team, and we also have a team member responsible for Pricing Systems and Processes. At Amgen, we act as the "Loss of Exclusivity Centre of Excellence", launching biosimilar assets and leading the business on the defense strategies for our growth brands as they approach and experience patent expiry

Essential Qualifications/Experience:
  • PhD, MSc or BA in a scientific area (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, biology, economics, engineering, etc.)

  • Demonstrated directly related industry experience (e.g., market access, pricing, commercial)

  • Experience in a related global or international role or direct payer-facing experience

  • Experience with developing pricing strategies and pricing business cases

  • Advanced analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Strong oral and written presentation skills

  • Compete Intensely and Win mindset

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience of launching biosimilar assets

  • Solid understanding of pricing and reimbursement systems, healthcare markets, and competitor trends globally

  • Experience in the oncology therapeutic area

  • Prior commercial or consulting experience is a plus
