Job description

Smadex is a leading advertising technology company founded in Barcelona in 2010 and sold to American-based and stock-listed Entravision in 2018 (NYSE::EVC). To help us maintain our strong position, we’re looking for an HR Operations Specialist to ensure a smooth and efficient employee experience. This position is located in Barcelona!

As our HR Operations Specialist, you will support our employees across all stages of their Smadex by Entravision journey, from onboarding through their key career milestones. Your main responsibilities will include onboarding new joiners, maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring legal and policy compliance, tracking absences, managing benefits, and continually improving HR workflows. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate on projects with other HR Team members to enhance our culture and promote a supportive work environment.

Employee Experience & Lifecycle Management:

  • Provide an outstanding employee experience by executing team members onboarding.
  • Ensure onboarding processes are legally compliant and efficient, from document collection to conducting welcoming and company induction activities for new hires.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries, supporting employees with timely and accurate responses.
  • Support team members through key stages of their lifecycle after onboarding: career milestones and offboarding.

People Operations: 

  • Maintain and update employee information in HR databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Oversee benefits administration, managing enrollments, addressing questions, and troubleshooting issues with external providers.
  • Track and manage employee attendance and absences, ensuring timely updates and compliance with policies.
  • Own the preparation of internship agreements between universities, students and the company and their renewal.Maintain internal communication channels (e.g., guidelines, knowledge bases on Notion) to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Own the processes under your purview, always looking for improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other People Team functions and stakeholders on various initiatives and projects, ensuring mutual benefit.
  • Be the best steward of Smadex by Entravision culture and employer brand; foster a fantastic candidate experience.
  • Provide creative feedback, suggestions, and support to enhance HR processes and contribute to a positive employee experience.

Your skills and experience: 

  • 1+ year of experience in an HR operations or related role, ideally in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken are mandatory
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 
  • Full Commitment to data privacy and compliance.
  • Strong customer service mindset and, ideally, experience working with diverse communities and countries.
  • Experience with HR systems, databases, and familiarity with tools like Notion or similar for knowledge management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to support a business case and then pursue creative solutions.
  • Always seeking to improve, and can adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Great team player and very collaborative.
