UMass Global (formerly Brandman University) offers nationally recognized academic programs for the nontraditional learner fully online and through UMass Global MyPath, its self-paced online competency-based education.

School of Education- (School Counseling and School Psychology)

The University of Massachusetts Global, School of Education is currently seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach graduate courses in School Counseling and School Psychology. Instructors are expected to provide supervision to School Counseling or School Psychology candidates who will be practicing counseling, assessments, and other intervention skills.  

Requirements for the position include: 

• Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and a PPS Credential in School Counseling or School Psychology. 
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience that combines theory and practice. 
• Ability to create and maintain an environment that emphasizes learning and encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking. 

Preferred qualifications include: 

• Online teaching experience 
• Have at least 2 years of higher education teaching experience/training adults within the work environment

The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3-unit course (101.25 hours) and varies based on the faculty member’s course assignment (see the Adjunct Compensation Policy for details including varying credit levels):

• Undergraduate course assignment: $3348 per course

• Graduate course assignment: $3748 per course

All course sections are taught online via Blackboard. Synchronous lectures, when required, are held Monday-Thursday on Zoom starting between 3-7pm PST.

Contracts are 10 weeks (1 week designated for prep, 8 weeks of instruction, 1 week for processing final grades).
