Job description

Corbion is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Business Development Manager to join our Biochemicals division. In this role, you’ll uncover and maximize opportunities and manage projects to commercialization within the biochemical industry.


In cooperation with the sales and technical teams, you will manage the pipeline and commercialization of new and existing product innovations in various market segments including home, personal care, chemical, agro, electronics and animal health.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the overall project pipeline and conversion cycle for the Americas.
  • Partner with Corbion’s sales and functional teams and stakeholders to develop and maximize our innovative new product and application concepts.
  • Actively engage key target customers to uncover insights into their needs and develop solutions to meet those needs with the industry teams.
  • Align with the Director of Business Development and regional sales team to execute efficiently on market opportunities.
  • Identify new opportunities, proactively prospect and follow up on leads to manage the overall regional development pipeline.
  • Analyze market trends, communicate competitive strategies and activities on a market and account level.
  • Represent Corbion at key trade shows and conferences, providing engaging, informative presentations that lead to expanded opportunities within the industry.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing or technically relevant field. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success growing B2B raw material or ingredient sales in roles focused on product development or sales within the biochemical industry.
  • Experience connecting with key decision makers in existing and prospective accounts.
  • Proven communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Driven, proactive, and able to learn quickly.
  • Creativity, and adaptability to changing situations.
  • Ability to travel an average of 40%.


The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s title and position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, location and business or organizational needs. The base salary range for this role is $128,000 to $155,000.
