Position: Social Media Coordinator

Reports to:  Manager, Brand

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent & Hybrid (4 days in office and 1 day work from home)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media and a knack for analytics? We're looking for a Social Media Coordinator to amplify our brand’s presence across platforms and engage our diverse audience. In this role, you’ll produce and curate impactful content, manage our social media calendar, and make data-driven adjustments to ensure our brand remains a leader in the competitive real estate industry.


As a key player on our team, you’ll leverage trends, insights, and tools to craft content that’s both timely and relevant. We are seeking a creative and innovative individual who can combine creative storytelling with technology, building connections with our audience and delivering results that enhance both brand perception and social media effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing social media strategy and campaigns for corporate marketing initiatives

  • Concept, create, and curate engaging content (text, images, videos, templates, etc.) that meets performance goals across multiple social media platform

  • Maintain a content calendar and leverage scheduling platforms to plan, schedule and post content across platforms, ensuring regular, timely, and strategic social activity

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and thoughtful manner to foster community engagement and safeguard the brand’s reputation

  • Ensure campaigns and strategies meet company and project goals through planning and by monitoring, evaluating and reporting on performance analytics and working with cross-functional teams. Proactively provide recommendations to enhance content performance. 

  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, project briefs, and platform-specific policies, adapting content for different audiences while maintaining overall cohesion

  • Effectively use technology and stay on top of social media trends, platform updates and emerging technologies, including for content creation, video editing, performance analysis, artificial intelligence, etc. 

  • Develop and facilitate relevant training and education programs for advisors, coworkers and partners, as needed.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience creating, managing, and reporting social media brand management 

  • Experience with content production, social media and collaboration tools and platforms, like Canva, Capcut and/or Videolap, Meta Business Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Asana, and AI tools such as ChatGPT.

  • Asset: A degree in Marketing, Communications, or related diploma, certification, or comparable professional experience


Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Passion for social media and creative content production

  • Proficiency with relevant platforms and tools, including but not limited to social media management, graphic design, video editing, AI and analytics

  • Experience applying historical, current, and potential future trends in the social media space

  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive messages, using proper grammar and punctuation, and creating engaging headlines and introductions

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, demonstrating thorough preparation, audience-specific messaging, composure, and an action-oriented attitude

  • Active social media user with extensive knowledge of social media platforms, such as content creation and editing skills on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, etc.

  • Skills in video production and editing including shooting, editing, and packaging video content for various platforms

  • Proficiency with data analytics tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and reporting platforms for monitoring and optimizing social campaigns.

  • SEO and SEM knowledge and familiarity with paid social media advertising strategies, including campaign setup, management, and optimization

  • Must be comfortable being in front of the camera

  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building

  • Interest in brand marketing, tone of voice and brand values

  • Collaborative, creative, flexible, and innovative team player team player with an ability to work effectively with peers, senior leaders, and key stakeholders 

  • Excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills with good judgment to make timely and sound decisions 

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows

  • Asset: Strong knowledge of local real estate market 


Working Conditions

  • Our home office is located just outside of Granville Island in Kitsilano and this role is primarily office based with some flexibility to work remotely

  • Ability to travel as required 

  • Some evening or weekend work may be required


Salary Information

The typical base salary for this specific position is from $62,500 to $78,000.  The salary offered is based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors including education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and organizational needs. We also have a performance based bonus program that supports our employees by recognizing exceptional individual performance and company success.
