Job Description
We are looking for an experienced candidate to be part of the Global Biologics & Sterile Operating Unit (GBSO) Value Chain Management (VCM) Team to support the Value Chain Management Team.
Value Chain Management (VCM) is accountable for our Company Manufacturing Division (MD) product strategy in alignment with MD and Global Human Health (GHH) brand/franchise goals, integrated risk management, supply chain design, and continuous improvement of the product supply chain. Within VCM, the Product Manager will work under the direction of the VCM Product Leader but may on occasion support other products or programs.
VCM work is strategic, spanning the entire life cycle of products, stabilizing the ongoing business through appropriate risk management, and designing the supply chain for the future. The position is highly integrative and requires project management skills to prioritize and drive results. The role also requires team building skills as well as exceptional strength in communications.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the Product Leader in end-to-end value chain management in the long-term time horizon with the objective of establishing the strategic direction and key areas of focus for assigned products
Support development of Product Master Plans which define comprehensive global product strategies, including lifecycle management and/or lead the development of product master plans for assigned portfolio.
Contributing to annual revision of the Biologics Manufacturing Strategy driven by long term pipeline evolution.
Project and portfolio management associated with the priorities from the product master plans that drive portfolio/network value creation opportunities to maximize brand assets.
Engage with VCM analytics COE on the development of forecasting & maintenance of supply models and conducting scenario analysis in response to the evolving growth dynamic of the Immuno-Oncology (IO) sector with due consideration for financial, demand, vendor relations, logistics and supply chain and geographic expansion strategy elements
Supports product leader in running the Value Chain Management Teams (VCMT) or Supply Chain Working Groups (SCWG) composed of cross functional representation from end-to-end functions including Commercial, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Technical Operations, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, External Manufacturing, and other related groups as appropriate
May lead or support End to End Product Risk Assessment for assigned products or supply nodes including risk assessments, identification & prioritization of mitigation strategies, development of recommendations and alignment of sponsorship to execute.
Engages in resolution of global product disruptions where long-term strategic supply chain alternatives need to be established: Develops and implements action plans with appropriate escalation and sponsorship.
Lead strategic initiatives or projects on behalf of the Value Chain Management Team (VCMT)
Support and/or lead siting selection, supply chain design, launch supply strategy definition, and business case assessments/activities.
Education Minimum Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of 5- years relevant work experience
Broad cross functional skills and business/management/operations experience, knowledge of the functions that support the business including: Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing Operations and Commercial Operations
Strategic thinking and ability to assimilate highly complicated and multi-factored inputs into an integrated strategy that clearly links to business objectives
Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions and influence direction in ambiguous situations
Horizontal and vertical leadership skills that enable maximizing both the individual contributor and cross-functional team accomplishments
Proactive mindset and ability to look outside the assigned role with an eagerness to identify and engage in opportunities to improve value chains and related business processes within the organization
Cross functional/cross divisional project management with geographically diverse teams driving high impact results and influencing processes along with behaviors
Demonstrated mindset of viewing new experiences as learning opportunities that strengthen leadership capabilities and the ability to guide others
Proficiency in project and portfolio management tools and techniques, with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams
Strong data analysis skills with competence in analyzing diverse data sets and translating to drive business decision making
Preferred Skills and Experience
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to effectively work with large or imperfect data
Effective verbal and written communication skills with an ability to organize complex information in a concise and compelling manner. Comfort in presenting key findings to leaders from various functional areas and levels
Previous large molecule/biologics experience in supply chain, operations and/or biologics commercialization
Previous experience with Finished Good Packaging
Knowledge of “best practices” in Supply Chain Management
Company Production System (CPS) Lean Leader trained or Lean Six Sigma Certification
Familiarity with change control processes

Expected US salary range:
$122,800.00 - $193,300.00
