Information Security Officer Europe & Africa

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity at our Leidschendam HQ for the position of Information Security Officer. In support of Fugro’s digitalization journey and nature of its business as a geo-data company, there is a continuous need to improve Information Security. In this role, you won’t just be a passive observer. You will be at the forefront of key projects, collaborating closely with stakeholders across all functions. Your crucial role is to ensure that the Information Security Management System is properly understood and implemented. Your role: 

• You will acquire a good understanding on key assets and processes. Together with stakeholders you evaluate and reduce risks to acceptable levels. In essence, you will help the various teams to achieve organizational objectives while not compromising the security posture; 

• You will be at the forefront of key projects, collaborating closely with stakeholders across all functions within the Europe & Africa region;

• You work with Project Managers. Business Analysts, Architecture and other stakeholders across functions to ensure Fugro Information Security standards are being followed; 

• You support the business within the bid process regarding security related aspects, support within the auditing process (internal and external) and other related security assessments; 

• You give feedback into Information Security Programs, in support of continuous improvement and setting priority areas; 

• You achieve positive change in Information Security through regular collaboration; 

• You actively share knowledge and insights to increase Information Security awareness throughout the organization. 

What you bring along 

• You have a BSc or MSc degree in Information Security or a related field; 

• You have at least 3 years of experience in both Project Management and Information Security; 

• You have knowledge on Information Security standards, such as SOC1, SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST standards and relevant legal compliance aspects. Information Security certifications such as CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are seen as a plus; 

• You have experience working with internal and external auditors and demonstrated experience in application security practices and IT Risk and Security governance; 

• You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral.
