Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is currently looking for a Project Services Manager with a focus in Cost Engineering for the Projects and Engineering team. The Project Services Manager will be responsible for leading and setting the vision for the Cost Engineering capability along with directly supervising a team of Cost Engineers supporting projects in cost management, forecasting, and analysis.

This role can be based out of our primary offices in Green Bay, WI/Atlanta, GA, or performed remotely with 20% travel as dictated by business needs

Our Team

The Georgia-Pacific Projects and Engineering Team supports projects in Consumer Products, Building Products, Packaging and Cellulose across the United States.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Cost Engineering capability by implementing cost strategies that drive competitive project results including proactive cost analytics.
  • Focus on prioritization within the Cost Engineering team aligning effort with the highest value opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Project Controls leadership to implement focused expectations and deliverables through Project Controls Plans.
  • Cost Engineer assignment to large capital projects based upon portfolio analysis and comparative advantage.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Cost Engineers including individual development plans and utilization of Principle Based Management
  • Respective owner of Cost tools and reporting, driving value added transformation by working closely with Project Systems and Reporting Capability Leads.
  • Advancing the vision of the Project Services Leadership Team


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Construction/Building Science, Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent project controls experience
  • Experience leading and supervising employees.
  • Project Cost Engineer experience


What Will Put You Ahead

  • AACEI certification as a Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
  • EcoSys software experience.
  • Qlik software experience.
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud/Autodesk Build experience


For this role, we anticipate paying $110k - $140k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
