The opportunity: 

The Account Manager, Network Partnerships role is responsible for spearheading the management of key leased network partner relationships. The primary focus will be on ensuring client retention, pinpointing growth opportunities, and optimizing revenue streams. Collaborating closely with our Senior Manager, Network Development, as well as the broader business.  The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier service and proactive solutions to uphold and strengthen our network relationships

How you will contribute: 

  • Leverage prior experience and solid knowledge of the Network business to build relationships with representatives of each network partner and deliver individualized support and guidance

  • Act as a liaison / single point of contact between Sun Life networks and their leasing clients

  • Resolve provider claims and network access issues for all network partnerships, managing issues from discovery to resolution

  • Develop reporting methodology and analyze Network Utilization trends to manage and mitigate any changes in volume, identify risks such as volume decreases, service gaps, changes in network level relationships, recommended business solutions, and collaborate with internal partners and clients to drive implementation of solutions

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Network team and resolve escalated customer inquiries that require a more experienced team member

  • Lead weekly / monthly / quarterly check ins with select leasing customers as needed to support account maintenance and drive continuous improvement

  • Lead annual CDT fee update project with internal partners and lease clients to determine new fees, update fee schedules and ensure fees are loaded before 1/1 of the new year

  • Provide business support throughout the implementation process for newly added networks

  • Collaborate with internal IT partners and external lease partners to manage intake and export of network files including troubleshooting and monitoring errors, managing rejection files, and developing recommendations to address recurring issues

  • Maintain current overview and rules of engagement for each network partner

  • Maintain knowledge of provider data consolidation process to ensure that records are surviving as they should be with regard to network stack configuration

  • Remain abreast of changing and evolving healthcare landscape, regulations and related health plan/payer trends

  • Acquire an understanding of network expectations, objectives, initiatives and opportunities for growth

What you will bring with you: 

  • 3-6 experience working with network leasing arrangements, TPAs or PPO networks in account management or similar

  • College degree preferred

  • Previous experience within dental benefits field

  • Strong communication skills-ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate clearly to network partners, as well as internal stakeholders

  • Southern California region: $56,500 - $84,800 annually 

  • Central California region: $59,600 - $89,400 annually 

  • Northern California region: $63,700 - $95,600 annually 

 

If you are a Minnesota, Colorado or Nevada resident, the salary range for this position is $53,900 - $80,900 annually 

 

If you are an Illinois, Connecticut or Maryland resident, the salary range for this position is $56,500 - $84,800 max annually 

 

If you are Washington, Washington D.C., and Rhode Island resident, the salary range for this position is $59,600 - $89,400 annually 

 

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $63,700 - $95,600 annually
