What we are looking for

 

AvantStay is looking for a Manager to join our Revenue Management team. Optimizing revenue management and dynamic pricing practices is central to our continued success as we grow into new markets and increase the number of properties in our portfolio each month.

You are comfortable working cross-functionally with a small but growing team that requires a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and ability to think on your feet. 

What you’ll do…

  • Manage a team in setting pricing strategy and tactics for designated properties markets.
  • Optimize pricing and revenue management through effective use of softwares, analytics, and collaboration with various teams.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to drive decisions around pricing, seasonality, inventory management, and acquisition. 
  • Effectively communicate daily, monthly, and quarterly revenue performance, pick-up response, metrics and bottom-line results to internal & external stakeholders. 
  • Work closely & cross-functionally with areas of the business including Owner Experience, Marketing, Underwriting, and Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Handle sensitive discussions with owners as applicable to mitigate risk and revenue impacts.
  • Conduct data analysis for actionable insights on daily pricing strategies as well as long-term forecasting across various markets. 
  • Strategically devise and test a variety of promotion strategies. 
  • Lead and drive projects across various departments and functions.
  • Always be thinking and driving toward moving the business forward.

Requirements

  • Autonomous and highly motivated self-starter. 
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue management or related fields.
  • 2 or more years of experience in managing a team of 2 or more employees.
  • Ideally, past experience with pricing within hospitality, travel or with an OTA.  Experience in the STR industry is a large plus.
  • Experience rolling our revenue management systems or in data science/machine learning is a large plus.
  • Knowledge of revenue management metrics within the hospitality market.
  • Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and creative affinity.
  • Flexibility and bandwidth to establish systems without a set structure in place.
  • Expertise with spreadsheets.  Experience in SQL, Tableau, and Python are preferred but not required. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • A Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience in a quantitative discipline such as  economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or similar field.  A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

  • Salary: $110-130k + bonus, depending on experience
