Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits currently seeks a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. This role offers a high degree of flexibility between working remotely and working in our Stamford, CT headquarters on an as-needed basis. The Supply Chain Specialist will oversee all aspects of order processing and work to improve efficiencies where possible and aligned with the goals. This Specialist will represent the company in a positive and efficient manner, while working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and accomplish Supply Chain departmental/individual objectives by measuring metrics; evaluating and improving methods; making and implementing required changes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Order Fulfillment
    • Ability to self-manage time and understand prioritization needs
    • Coordinate with suppliers on all Export Documentation needs
    • Coordinate orders with freight forward, distributors, warehouse as needed
    • Document RACI for all processes, unique distributor handling
    • Handle all Customer communication
    • Handle communication to sales where required
    • Order processing and tracking – daily review of open orders reporting
      • Assessing risk to orders shipping timelines and addressing ahead of time
    • Assist with sample order process as needed
    • Review Distributor inventory reporting
      • Discuss with sales and distributors as needed for ordering needs
    • Ability to analyze excel reporting for orders, metrics, and allocations
    • Process any required documentation and follow up with suppliers
    • Review and analyze Backorder hold reporting to ensure on-time release of orders
    • Brainstorm and bring forth ideas for areas of improvement
    • Ensure mid-month and month-end checks are clean for assigned territory and team
    • Back-up for team members
  • Accounting/Financial
    • Follow up with accounting on credit holds
    • Follow up with pricing team for pricing holds
    • Work with Accounting/FP&A to ensure excise tax processing is accurate
    • Work with Accounting on credit/rebills as required
  • Compliance
    • Responsible for following allocation protocols and new item/acquisition distributor designations

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience or training in service industry specializing in meeting customer demands and organizing multiple tasks; or recent high performing college graduate with high learning agility
  • Excellent verbal and written skills for communication with partner, peers, and managers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills a plus)
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to exercise judgment & recommend solutions
  • Ability to research & interpret information
  • Independent thinker who can deliver day to day tasks and pivot as needed
  • Ability to plan and organize heavy workload and work within tight deadlines
