About the Role
We're looking for a dynamic Event Operations Manager to join our team. You'll plan and execute high-profile events. Ensure flawless delivery of exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows. Thrive in an ever-changing environment and love organizing large-scale events. This includes assistance in any of our 4 Operations functions – Conference and Seminar Execution, Customer Success, Operations Administration and Operations Support.
Responsibilities
Developing an annual operational budget and delivers operational activities on time and within budget. Maximizes value for money and proactively finds savings if when required while minimizing impacts on overall operational delivery.
Supporting teams in identifying new revenue streams and developing existing ones.
Identifying /management of show risks across the three pillars of risk: Supplier on-boarding and compliance; Health & Safety and Security.
Identifying and recommend best practice for own area of work. Seek out best practice and solutions as first step and applies and improves rather than inventing own solutions.
Encouraging innovation across dotted line reports and share best practice across the Operations group.
Supporting through developing briefs and designs for, and not exclusive to, stand designs, pavilions, features, signage and sponsor opportunities.
Requirements
Have demonstrable experience in event operations management, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale events or exhibitions.
Have the ability to lead cross-functional teams, motivate staff, and coordinate with multiple departments.
Possess a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to think on your feet and manage unexpected challenges.
Have excellent German and English verbal and written communication skills.
Display a proficiency in event management software, and familiarity with digital tools that enhance event operations.
Excellent customer service skills.
