IT Security Engineer

• Design and manage security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption).
• Enhance network security through monitoring and access controls.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
• Implement data protection measures (encryption, tokenization).

Job Summary

Implement and maintain security solutions to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure, applications, and data. Perform technical tasks like deploying firewalls, conducting vulnerability assessments, and monitoring threats. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CEH, GSEC, CISA, CompTIA Security+.
• 5+ years of experience in information security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, encryption).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security architecture and xperience with vulnerability management tools and SIEM systems.

• Our first preference will be given to Kenya-based applicants (However, we will consider South Africans and India-based applicants).
• This position is hybrid, which could be remote for offshore candidates.
• It is a 12-month initial contract to be extended.
