QA Testing Analyst - Remote

Cognizant is a large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies to improve business processes. We are looking to hire a QA Testing Analyst. This role is fully remote, and all applicants must live in the US.

Role Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution:

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
• Execute test cases across various platforms and environments to identify defects.
• Track and report test progress and results.
  
  

Defect Management

• Log and document defects in a bug tracking system, providing clear and concise descriptions.
• Retest fixed defects to verify their resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.
  
  

QA Automation

• Participate in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
• Execute automated test suites to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  
  

Performance Testing

• Conduct performance testing to ensure the scalability and responsiveness of our applications.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks.
  
  

Regression Testing

• Execute regression tests to verify that new changes do not introduce unintended side effects.
  
  

Continuous Learning

• Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box, integration, regression).
• Proficiency in using testing tools and defect tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $73,500 - $86,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
