Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Attend kick-off and status meeting with the project management team and client representatives, if required
  • Provide technical support to Project Managers and Field Support Service as required.
  • Provide check and/or approval support for BIS and/or IHS projects as required.
  • Ensure the Engineering department work processes, data management tools, Enterprise and Project Design Guides and CAD standards are being observed on BIS projects.
  • Perform quality audits on completed work for consistency, optimization, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Identify and communicate proposed solutions to any emerging issues which are likely to impact cost, schedule, quality/design integrity, safety, or interface with construction.
  • Report and document project, technical, and work process related problems.
  • Provide technical support to designers and training as time allows.
  • Work on engineering deliverables as time allows.
  • Submit software bugs or enhancements to development team.

YOU HAVE:

  • An engineering degree from an accredited university or a technology diploma from a recognized college in the Electrical or Mechanical disciplines is preferred.
  • Registration with PEO is preferred.
  • Must have 5 years of Designer experience.
