Job Title: Career Specialist in Private Equity/Investment Banking - Remote | Work From Home

Position Overview

We are seeking a Career Specialist in Private Equity/Investment Banking to report directly to the CEO. This role is central to guiding our scholars towards successful careers in these competitive fields. You will develop and implement systems aimed at preparing students for finance industry internships, ultimately leading to full-time job placements. As a mentor, you will offer personalized guidance to a cohort of college students through various support mechanisms, including one-on-one coaching, group development sessions, and professional development workshops. This position provides a remarkable opportunity to have a profound and positive influence on our scholars’ career trajectories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to a designated group of scholars through a blend of virtual and on-site experiences, facilitating successful internship placements in private equity or investment banking.
  • Monitor and evaluate scholar progress using established internal rubrics and roadmaps.
  • Collect and manage relevant performance data to provide regular updates to the team and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain student support systems based on proven coaching practices.
  • Research and implement best practices to continually enhance coaching and cohort programs.
  • Foster strong relationships with scholars to promote retention and success throughout their educational journey.
  • Establish feedback systems with industry partners to ensure successful internship placements for scholars.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the program, including planning for the expansion of student development systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, specifically in Investment Banking or Private Equity.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and critically assess the influence of identity on job performance.
  • Experience in designing and implementing feedback mechanisms to enhance job performance.
