Position: Remote Real Estate Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and review tax returns, extensions, and planning calculations with an emphasis on the real estate sector.
  • Analyze financial statements, perform accounting adjustments, and manage client documentation.
  • Prepare and assess intricate tax planning projections for both individual and corporate tax liabilities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of client obligations and maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Prepare and review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift, and estate tax returns.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research and compile detailed findings in memoranda.
  • Address inquiries and audits from the IRS and state agencies.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients, colleagues, and IRS representatives regarding tax matters.
  • Lead departmental efforts in utilizing software and optimizing processes.

Required Skills

  • 4-10+ years of relevant experience in real estate tax compliance and advisory services.
  • In-depth knowledge of individual tax compliance and planning.
  • Familiarity with subchapter K and experience advising real estate investment trusts.
  • Preferably possess tax research capabilities (RIA) and experience with gift, estate, and trust returns.
  • Understanding of partnership tax is advantageous.
  • A proactive, friendly demeanor with a collaborative approach.
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing team members.
