Job description

Regional Sales Director

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for managing and developing accounts within the Enterprise market throughout the assigned territory. You will represent A10 Networks, utilizing a high-touch, high-value sales model to effectively position our technology in key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships and drive new account sales across the territory
  • Build a robust sales pipeline to achieve personal and team quotas
  • Identify and qualify business opportunities within the Enterprise market, supporting the development of effective resellers
  • Drive end-user sales and upsell opportunities for existing customers, focusing on growth and exceeding assigned targets
  • Create and present professional sales presentations, manage project progress, and follow up with potential leads
  • Collaborate with partners to close deals and finalize contracts while effectively communicating A10's value propositions
  • Manage sales forecasts and short-term/long-term business plans, regularly reviewing progress with management
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Sales Engineering team and external partners to ensure alignment and support throughout the sales lifecycle

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as part of an account sales team selling network, infrastructure, security, or software solutions
  • Established relationships with a diverse range of Enterprise accounts and Channel Partners
  • Experience in value-based selling, with familiarity in ROI and TCO proposals
  • In-depth knowledge of Application, Network Infrastructure, and Security, with a strong preference for application layer experience
  • Ability to implement a "Cradle to Grave" sales strategy, from cold calling to closing, while engaging end-users

Candidate Background:

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 4 years in the Internet or networking market
  • A BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation capabilities
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure with limited resources
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build a stable business stream
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
