As portfolio performance manager in our Credit Risk team you will take the lead on linking the financial debt plan to credit risk strategies and operational requirements across debt management, to ensure that the plan becomes reality. You will ensure that the debt function has the right high level KPIs in place to show whether performance is at the expected level to hit our plans and with your team, you will lead on high level reporting and management information for the debt function, including board level materials.

You will also lead on building a holistic data plan for the debt function, utilising all available internal and external data sources to optimise data lead opportunities to improve performance, enhance experience and reduce costs. This will include owning the relationship with credit bureaus and other external data partners.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with our finance team, to ensure that the planning cycle works efficiently across the debt function.

  • Ensure that financial debt plans are translated into wider execution plans across the debt function, so that the plan becomes reality.

  • Seek out best practice for energy debt models, provision approach and planning routines to further develop Eon next capability.

  • Agree and produce high level reporting materials for debt performance, along with executive and board level reports on debt performance.

  • Partner with our data science function to agreeing modelling requirements for debt and credit risk activity and act as sign off into the credit risk function on outputs.

  • Specific responsibilities for external and credit bureau data.

  • Own relationships with external data providers that enhance credit insight, including but not limited to credit bureaus.

  • Maintain an external view of data opportunities, to bring innovation into debt performance and customer experience.

Are we the perfect match?

  • Commercial awareness, able to consider factors to optimise debt, customer experience and cost

  • Experience in debt related financial planning and provision concepts

  • Able to produce and coordinate high quality presentation materials, that tell the story in often complex environments

  • Experience of collections and credit risk across large scale customer portfolios

  • Experience of developing high level KPI reporting to monitor business performance

  • An understanding of the UK energy and/or utilities markets
