Job description

This role serves as a technical subject matter expert by actively participating in configuration consultation, vendor evaluation, and problem resolution of multiple Microsoft systems. The candidate should have a clear understanding of how to research, design, implement, and troubleshoot Microsoft information systems, cloud technologies, and technology solutions in support of business needs. Under limited supervision, the candidate will effectively manage and prioritize assigned projects and design complex multi-system solutions to meet the organization's needs. Recommendations in these areas should be made with a high level of technical competency.

Starting Salary Range

  • $107,570.92 - $114,586.41 / Central FL
  • $110,220.34 - $114,408.63 / South FL



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Active Directory Management: Administer and maintain On-Premises Active Directory, optimizing replication, sites, and services for performance and security.
  • Azure Sync and Microsoft Entra: Configure and manage Azure AD Connect synchronization and Microsoft Entra for seamless identity and access management in hybrid environments.
  • Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams Administration: Support and manage Office 365 services—including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams—to ensure efficient communication, collaboration, and document management.
  • ProofPoint Management: Implement and oversee ProofPoint email security solutions to protect against threats and ensure compliance.
  • Entra SSO and Identity Management: Implement and manage Entra for Single Sign-On and identity management using SCIM, SAML, OAuth, and JIT provisioning.
  • Technical Support: Provide timely resolutions to end-user issues related to Microsoft services and infrastructure, including SharePoint and Teams.
  • Project Participation: Participate in IT projects, adhering to assignments, deadlines, and collaborating with team members.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical procedures and documentation to support operations and compliance.
  • Vendor Liaison: Act as a liaison with vendors regarding system issues, updates, and improvements.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure systems comply with security policies and regulations, implementing best practices for data protection.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on latest technologies and recommend enhancements for system efficiency and reliability.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of On-Premises Active Directory, Hybrid Environments, Azure Sync, Microsoft Entra, O365, Exchange, and ProofPoint.
  • SSO Technologies: Proficiency in Single Sign-On technologies, including SCIM, SAML, OAuth, and JIT provisioning.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or relevant certifications are preferred.

Education & Experience:

Level II: 5 to 8 years prior experience as a Microsoft systems engineer or in a related position.

A 4 year college degree Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related academic area or equivalent experience is required.

 

Physical Demands:

Work requires light or a low amount of physical exertion.  The need for physical stamina and endurance is of minimum or low significance.  Body movement usually involves sitting and intermittent walking.

Working Conditions:                                                                                                                             

No adverse environmental working conditions.

Hours;

Monday/Friday 8:00-5:00

Every third Sunday for patching availability

Able to work after hours as needed

Participate in an on-call rotation
