Job Overview

Join our esteemed organization as a Medical Billing Collection Specialist, where you will play a critical role in enhancing our financial operations. This position offers the flexibility of a remote or hybrid work arrangement based on your location relative to our New Jersey headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage claim denials through investigation and resolution, including appeals, resubmissions, or necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with patients and insurance companies to ensure prompt payment of outstanding balances.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance standards to uphold best practices in billing.

Required Skills

  • Strong commitment to resolving medical claims and proficiently collecting insurance reimbursements.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in managing accounts receivable processes.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with various payer portals to facilitate efficient claims processing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of major medical insurance providers, along with experience in workers’ compensation and motor vehicle claims.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly fluency in Spanish, are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in resolving denied or underpaid claims while executing thorough follow-ups with insurance providers.
  • Extensive background in multiple facets of medical billing and collections.
  • Prior experience in fields such as Conservative Therapy, Medical (including Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Orthopedic, Vascular), or Patient Accounts is preferred.
