Utility Grid Analyst
Job Summary:
The Power Analyst, focusing on electric and gas markets will play a crucial role in supporting the Power Procurement team by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating energy data from various platforms and consulting reports. The role involves leveraging tools such as Enverus, S&P, Resource Advisor Consultants, and other identified data sources to generate comprehensive reports that inform strategic decision-making. The Power Analyst will also develop and maintain Smartsheets to track project data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Experience with power flow models, nodal modeling, or other grid system modeling capabilities preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection: Gather and organize energy data from multiple sources, including Enverus, S&P, Resource Advisor Consultants, and other identified platforms.
- Data Aggregation: Aggregate data from various sources to create consolidated reports that provide clear insights into energy trends and support procurement strategies.
- Report Generation: Develop and deliver comprehensive reports that highlight key findings, trends, and recommendations based on the analyzed data.
- Smartsheet Management: Create and maintain Smartsheets to track project timelines, metrics, and other relevant data, ensuring that information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Support Functions: Assist in the preparation of presentations, dashboards, and other communication materials for internal stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Market Research: Conduct ongoing research and analysis of energy markets and industry trends to keep the Power Procurement team informed and ahead of market changes.
- Consultant Engagement: Work with consultants to refine SOWs, review results, and consolidate information and findings into actionable results.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, energy management, or a related field, with a focus on energy data.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Power Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and data management skills, with proficiency in Excel, Smartsheets, and data platforms such as Enverus and S&P.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets accurately.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to work with various data platforms and tools, and to quickly learn new systems and methodologies as needed.
The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $78,000 to $124,000 per year
• California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $72,000 to $114,000 per year
• Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $65,000 to $103,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
