Job Summary

To be a key member of the training delivery team within Logistics UK training operation, dedicated to delivering the highest quality of training for the Dangerous Goods and Transport sector. Provide subject matter expertise in Dangerous Goods (by Air, Road and / or Sea) and have the confidence to deliver training in the classroom as well as online.

To be flexible to travel across the UK to deliver courses at designated venues or customer premises. 

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the highest quality of training for the Dangerous Goods and Transport sector.
  • Accept training delivery assignments at venues across the UK or online.
  • Be flexible to travel across UK when required.
  • Support in the design and development of Dangerous Goods course materials to meet CAA and industry requirements.
  • Liaise with customers and effectively relay requirements to internal operational teams.
  • Participate in product standardisation meetings to promote a continuous improvement culture within training performance and product standards. 
  • Engage with industry and relevant authorities to stay current with legislation and customer needs. 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers. 
  • Identify potential business opportunities, to support achievement of financial objectives.
  • To perform other duties and to accept other responsibilities as may reasonably be required. 

Requirements

  • Industry knowledge and experience in Dangerous Goods requirements and legislation.
  • SME to support in the design and maintenance of Dangerous Goods courses to meet CAA and industry requirements.
  • Confidence to deliver effective training/presentations to a varied audience in the classroom and online.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent customer service and understanding of tailored customer needs.
  • Demonstrate a desire to develop own skills and maintain currency of existing skills and knowledge.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Ability to meet targets, deadlines and KPIs with an aptitude to succeed.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to relay information accurately and succinctly.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems using own initiative.
  • An enthusiasm for personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and have a willingness to help others succeed in achieving their learning goals.
  • Flexible to travel and work across the UK.
  • PC literate with a good working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and other software applications including online delivery tools.
  • UK driving licence holder.

Qualification Requirements
  • Air freight background or equivalent experience.
  • Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Approved Dangerous Goods Training Instructor.
  • DGSA certified.
  • Experience delivering Dangerous Goods training – classroom and online (i.e. DG Air, Sea, Road, Radioactives, Aviation Security, DGSA, Lithium Batteries etc).
