Job description

Your challenge as a Business Analyst

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role as a Business Analyst at Blyce? Join us and contribute to the digital transformation journeys of government clients in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and developing countries, including Curaçao, Bonaire, Anguilla, and Samoa. Your mission is to support Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland by leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and make a meaningful impact on the residents of these islands.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in renewing the current tax and self-service system for Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland. This involves complex analyses and requires regular on-site work with the client, as well as close collaboration with our international development team. You will be the essential bridge between the client and the development team, translating business needs into solution requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • System renewal: You will be deeply involved in modernizing the tax and self-service system. This requires conducting extensive analyses to ensure all necessary functionalities and system interconnections are addressed effectively.
  • Tax domain expertise: Your understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements will allow you to offer critical insights during system development, ensuring all functionalities align with current tax rules and legal compliance is maintained.
  • System knowledge: You obtain and demonstrate a strong grasp of the current application, its architecture, and its relationships with other systems, enabling you to find and apply relevant information efficiently when needed.
  • Stakeholder engagement: You will organize regular sessions with the client to discuss their needs and expectations, verify and validate requirements, answer questions, and serve as a key contact for feedback and guidance.
  • Elicitation of pertinent information: You ask the right questions to capture essential information and requirements from the client. You will compile and maintain overviews, summaries, and presentations to ensure smooth session preparation.
  • Analysis and documentation: You will analyze inputs from various stakeholders and transform them into a clear, coherent narrative that can be acted upon by the development team.
  • Up-to-date with legislation: You stay informed on the latest legal changes, researching relevant sources like tax laws and policies. You will ensure this information is clearly communicated to both the client and the development team to maintain compliance.
  • Development team partner: You will collaborate closely with the development team.

We offer an attractive benefits package including:

  • An excellent gross starting salary between USD 3,700 and 5,600 per month, with annual growth opportunities (based on experience and full-time employment on Bonaire).
  • A one-year contract followed by an indefinite contract when we are the perfect match.
  • Enjoy 23 vacation days with the possibility to buy or sell 8 vacation days per year.
  • You receive 8.33% vacation pay per year.
  • A variable gross compensation of an extra month's salary per year, paid monthly.
  • A fixed gross expense allowance of USD 275,- per month.
  • An annual variable reward based on company results.
  • A good pension scheme at Guardian Group.
  • A hybrid office and work-from-home policy providing flexibility and balance.
  • A company laptop and all necessary IT resources.
  • A phone subscription for business and personal use.
  • A full-time position full of challenges. Prefer part-time? A good work-life balance is a priority for us, so let's discuss the possibilities.
  • All the space and flexibility to further develop your talent, in collaboration with our Talent Development Specialist.
  • The opportunity to connect with colleagues through our parties, dinners, and sports team activities.
  • A personal and warm atmosphere within the Blyce family!
