Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and medical history in the EMR.
• Provide patients with essential End of Visit materials, including lab results, referrals, and educational resources.
• Perform lab tests, assist clinicians during exams, and support minor surgical procedures as needed.
• Manage patient-related communications, including returning calls to patients and pharmacies based on clinician guidance.
• Collaborate with assigned clinicians on patient cases, lab results, and medication refills.
• Maintain accurate records, such as Vaccines for Children (VFC) log sheets, as directed by supervision.
• Administer injections and prepare patient information for Care Team huddles, adhering to NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Standards.
  
  

Required Skills

• Familiarity with medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function effectively within a collaborative care team environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• A Practical Nursing certificate is required for Nurse LPN roles.
• Medical Assistant Certification or a valid LPN/GPN that must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
• CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• One (1) year of experience preferred; however, we welcome applications from new graduate Medical Assistants.
