We are currently looking to find a
Key Account Manager - Solar Energy to join our diverse team in
North America. This is a high impact, seasoned sales position critical to the successful deployment of OTT HydroMet and Veralto’s Water Quality Platform strategies.
Position Summary
The Key Account Manager - Solar Energy is responsible for management of selected highly strategic accounts in the assigned market segment. In this role, you will promote OTT HydroMet product lines in the field of solar energy to core customers and establish professional relationships with key personnel in key accounts with meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve assigned financial objectives and KPI’s through Monthly Forecast and Funnel Review Process for assigned accounts, with major emphasis on share of wallet expansion.
- Develop, refresh and execute an annual key account strategy.
- Conduct regular meetings with key account decision makers to understand evolving requirements to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Stay on top of industry trends through collaboration with peers, industry publications, and industry conference attendance.
- Schedule regular trainings with technical and commercial stakeholders within key account scope, including application knowledge and new product introductions.
- Manage and measure account performance using KPI’s, identify gaps in performance, communicate and institute countermeasures during quarterly business reviews with customers where appropriate to achieve goals.
- Negotiate and execute contracts, complex projects and customer-specific product development initiatives through various internal departments including Legal, Finance, R&D, Strategic Marketing, Sales, Service and Customer Support.
- Analyze competitors' activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning to identify competitive advantages and adjust sales approaches accordingly.
- Work closely with Marketing and Product Management to drive product innovation and market segment growth with critical feedback from key account customer voices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer a BA, BS or MS degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Must have formal sales training with experience in value and question-based selling.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of SFDC for funnel management and forecasting.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%.
- 5-10 years of direct B2B sales experience; Solar Energy market experience strongly desired.
- Experience in distribution and channel partner development and management is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver license and acceptable driving record.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
