Job description

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: £35,225 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Based at one of the Arts Council’s regional offices in Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Brighton or Bristol (The role will be based at any of the offices listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

Arts Council England is seeking a dedicated Senior Officer, Performance, Finance and Risk to join our Music Hubs team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the effective monitoring and management of the financial performance and governance of the Music Hub programme. Your analytical skills will be crucial in providing insights that inform strategic decisions, ultimately enhancing the quality of music education for children and young people across England.

You will take the lead in preparing detailed reports and analyses that assess the financial health and risk status of the Music Hub network. Collaborating closely with Relationship & Development Managers, you will support the oversight of funding agreements, ensuring compliance with our established performance frameworks. Your role will involve engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, from internal teams to external partners, to foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

Creativity and a strategic mindset are essential as you help shape our approach to financial governance and risk management. You will also play a key role in providing training and guidance to ensure that all parties understand the requirements of financial reporting and risk assessments.

If you are organised, proactive, and passionate about making a positive impact through effective finance and risk management, we encourage you to review the full job description and consider applying.
