Position Title: Construction Estimator
Work Set-up: Work from Home/Work Onsite
Salary: Php 70,000.00 – Php 90,000.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM PH Time

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
Responsibilities as a Construction Estimator:
• Analyze drawings, blueprints, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects
• Conduct site visits to understand project scope and assess necessary resources
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to define project needs and timelines
• Research and gather information on materials, equipment, and labor costs from suppliers and subcontractors
• Develop and maintain a database of historical data on costs, pricing, and production rates
• Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring all project specifications are met
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, comparing them to the initial estimate, and report any discrepancies to management
• Update estimates to reflect change orders or project scope adjustments
Qualifications as a Construction Estimator:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required based on experience)
• 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building regulations
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Buildertrend) and MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with high attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
