DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
We are in search of a talented Data Quality Analyst to join our Global IT team. In this role you will work in the Data Governance section of our Global Data and Analytics Team within the wider Global IT. You will report to the Head of Data Governance.
Your core mission will be to ensure the quality and consistency of the organization's data assets. You will champion data governance best practices and data literacy across the organisation.
You will collaborate closely with the Master Data Management team, Operational Business Analysts, Data Stewards and IT Data Engineers.
This position is created in the context of an IT transformation, including a move to agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and Improving Data Quality: Performing tests on data to determine quality and integrity. Collaborating with data engineers, master data management team and business users to improve data quality and integrity.
- Owning the Data Questions: Acting as Level 1 & 2 support for Data Questions coming into the Service Desk. Running data queries to locate issues and assess impact of the issues. Engaging level 3 support from master data management team or the data engineers to fix issues when needed.
- Reporting: Presenting data analysis findings in appropriate tools like dashboards.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the master data management team, data engineers and other IT professionals to ensure data meets all stakeholders’ expectations on data quality and integrity. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Automation and Tooling: Assist and support the implementation of automated processes and tools to streamline data management and improve efficiency.
- User Support and Training: Assist with the provision of support and training in Data Definitions, Business Rules and the importance of data governance, data quality, and data privacy.
- Data Literacy Promotion: Assist with initiatives to increase data literacy across the organization, helping staff understand the importance of data and how to use it effectively.
- Continuous Learning: As data governance is an ever-evolving field, you need to learn and stay updated with the latest technologies, methods, and best practices in data governance.
- Documentation: Assist in the completion and maintenance of comprehensive documentation of Data Dictionaries, Business Rules Dictionaries and other data user support material using appropriate tools.
Qualifications And Experience
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field or 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Data Modelling & Queries: Strong understanding of data warehouse models and extensive experience writing SQL/Python queries.
- Data Quality & Governance: Experience in assessing data quality, and knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
- Dashboards & Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in building dashboards with Power BI and experience with Azure and SQL Server.
- Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION |
- Role based either in Spain (Madrid / Barcelona) or Poland (Krakow / Warsaw).
- Able to work remotely several days per week with occasional travel as needed.
- English is a must-have, and an additional (European) language is a plus.
- Work permit allowing work in Spain or Poland.
