Job Description

The successful candidate will lead efforts in talent development, succession planning, and employee relations, reporting to the Head of HR in Thailand while maintaining a dotted-line relationship with Regional HR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead labor union negotiations and maintain strong relationships with union representatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with labor laws.
  • Oversee people development strategies, including talent management and succession planning, to identify and groom potential successors for the HR leadership team.
  • Collaborate closely with plant leadership and hiring managers to provide consulting on people-related issues, including workforce planning, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
  • Support the plant's operational needs by implementing HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of HR reports, presentations, and metrics to both local and regional HR teams.
  • Work within a matrix organization, balancing the needs and expectations of both local and regional HR stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and best practices, particularly in labor law, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Drive HR projects, such as employee engagement surveys, performance management initiatives, and training programs.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior HR staff and manage the HR team at the plant level.


The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in labor relations and dealing with unions.
  • Proven experience in people development, including talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Strong consulting skills, with experience advising managers on complex people-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver reports and presentations in a timely manner.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across regions.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
