Principal UX Researcher

Summary of the role
In our team, User Experience Research and Design under Cytric, we are looking for a dynamic, engaged, talented individual, passionate about corporate travel and expense solutions and its related customer experience.
As a Principal UX researcher, you have a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, knowing how to use these methods to support the entire product/service design cycle, from product/service definition, design process, to UX solutions evaluation/tracking.
You will integrate information from Sales, Customer operations, and product management team to define relevant research strategy and support business domains in the execution of the research strategy throughout the product life Cycle in connection with Engineering and product marketing.
You will work with Product Management to drive product vision/strategy and influence feature prioritisation from research outcome. You will mentor junior researchers and provide design guidelines from research outcome, and work with UX designers/writers to ensure final delivery is consistent with research findings. You will work with UX data analysts to define the feedback loop to understand and evaluate user behaviour.
You are a strong user advocate who promote user-centricity across the organisation, drive user research & data-driven culture, and best practices, and influence and ensure the implementation of UX research recommendations in all product lines of Cytric.
In this role, you will:
Product/Service Definition and UX strategy
Work with customers and product management to help develop a product vision from user point of view
Qualify UX request and help define UX strategy for product/service/innovation by incorporating also business context, product strategy, customer values, and brand vision
Drive product vision/strategy and influence epic/feature prioritisation
UX Research:
Define and lead UX research plan (including objective, scope, participant profile, methodologies, etc)
Define detailed research protocol and conduct research accordingly
Create report and conduct presentation to share results with internal stakeholders and external clients, delivery can include personas, mental models, customer journey maps, service blueprints, user tasks and needs analysis, design guidelines, and etc)
Lead and work with Amadeus research partners when needed
Mentor Junior researchers@
UX Design support:
Conduct cognitive walkthrough/heuristic evaluation and share the results with stakeholders
Facilitate ideation design sessions with stakeholders and provide design guidelines based on research findings
Work with interaction/visual designers to make sure the final delivery is consistent with research findings
About the ideal candidate
8+ years of experience on user experience research, experience on a wide spectrum of products and services including B2C, B2B, and innovation, and/or travel industry is a plus
Expert on applying UCD process, human computer interaction theory and usability principles
Expert on research techniques including field studies, contextual interviews, focus groups, participatory design, card sorting, surveys, formative and summative usability testing, comparative usability testing, AB testing etc
Relevant experience leading research team
Strong storytelling skills to influence and engage stakeholders
Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
Strong team player
Familiar with statistics
Degree in Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, or related fields
