Job Description

The Project Manager- Retail Transformation will play a crucial role in actively supporting the overall tactical and strategic execution of CHEP U.S.’s Retail Transformation & Innovation efforts.

Person in this position will play a core role in concurrently leading activities of Retail Transformation & Innovation goals and output.

Drive lasting strategic change in alignment with our business pillars & ambitions. Ensure Go-To-Market strategy is adopted in our engagements.

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the resources, the timeline, and the budget to guarantee the On-Time and In-Full Delivery of related Retail Transformation priorities, collaborating cross functionally with key stakeholders for buy-in and coordinating regular touchpoints.  
  • Report out at ELT SteerCo’s inclusive of preparing materials.
  • Develop & collaborate on the creation of progress reviews, dashboards, and other key metrics
  • Development and collaboration of multiple Retail Transformation resources (not limited to: Presentations, Execution Guides, ongoing Q&A; Strategy materials; Calculators) as needed as well as updating and revitalizing go-to-market materials to remain relevant.  
  • Liaise with Retail Transformation & Innovation team to ensure appropriate stakeholders engagement as well as escalating risks.
  • Lead forecasting, planning, & execution of Retail Transformation Initiative in WAVE system. Owner of the initiative & partner cross functionally ensuring robust and accurate documentation.
  • Change agent and support organization and customers in navigating change to guarantee successful delivery and sustainability of the Retail Transformation actions implemented.
  • Ensure customer-centric focus in all activities and encourage peers to have a customer focus mindset.
  • Lead cross-functional & global retail Learning Share community and ensure best practice sharing within team.
  • Utilize effective change management skills within communications, trainings, ad hoc stakeholder needs.

Experience

Essential

  • 5+ years’ experience of progressive work managing major projects and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Extended work in cross functional matrix oriented internal structures

  • Lead numerous analyses and projects from business specifications to practical implementation

  • Ability to liaises and influence between project members, cross-functional teams, leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated by driving results through change management

  • 3+ years customer-facing experience leading various customer-facing activities

  • Ability to understand, lead and execute supply chain solution-related concepts & strategies

  • Experience in a particular industry is not required, weighing more so on other noted skill sets, capabilities, etc.

  • Ability to clearly articulate vision at all levels of the organization effectively storytell.

Desirable

  • Work in multiple functional areas

  • Experience of working on Transformational Change programs in a global organization

  • Experience leading teams directly and indirectly (Influencing)

  • Experience leading change-focused projects and new ways of working

  • Experience leading communication efforts in program introduction and brand consistency
