Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Principal Consultant at Argano is a highly experienced professional in the consulting family responsible for managing mid to large size client engagements and contributing to the growth and development of the consulting practice. They provide expert advice, guidance, and solutions related to technology to businesses and organizations. They are indirect mentors to other areas and grades. Their goal is to help clients optimize their technology infrastructure, processes, and strategies to achieve their business objectives more efficiently and effectively. Principal consultants work with security, data management, crisis management and should demonstrate exceptional knowledge of technology to deliver quality work that will drive customer satisfaction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Align client’s existing business process and procedures with validated HCM Cloud methods to solve client needs
  • Apply functional knowledge and expertise, working in collaboration with technical consulting team, in the implementation of business-aligned and driven Oracle Cloud solutions
  • Lead clients in workshops to formulate functional business requirements and align them to Oracle Cloud functionality and overall solution delivery
  • Identify requirement and design gaps and develop solutions to align with overall solution delivery
  • Configure the Oracle Cloud environment to meet client requirements and design and document application set-up
  • Advise clients on options, risks and any impacts on other processes and/or systems
  • Manage module track of project which includes:
  • Manage scope and client expectations for your module
  • Identify project risks and communicate with appropriately with project team to avoid and mitigate potential issues
  • Manage project team members through the lifecycle of a project. Review and provide coaching and feedback on design, configuration, and documentation
  • Lead and support clients with the execution of test scripts
  • Participate in internal forums for training, teamwork, issue resolution and innovative design
  • Be leaders with a vision in the Oracle Cloud space with innovative solutions around the product
  • Mentor Associate and Senior consultants

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of Oracle Cloud implementation methodology and the challenges commonly faced by client and implementation teams
  • Module specific experience in Core HR or Recruiting and Journeys is required. Previous related industry and consulting experience in competing product sets will be considered (Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, etc.)
  • Minimum of four (4) full life cycle hands-on Oracle HCM Cloud implementations in your module of expertise with proven expert knowledge of best practice solutions, product integration impacts and support/troubleshooting required
  • Proven track record of building long-lasting relationships with your clients
  • Oracle certified in your module of expertise
  • Proven ability to understand client’s data movement to external systems and advise on impacts related to upstream and downstream systems
  • Ability to effectively manage communication at the client senior levels, see the “big picture” as well as the details
  • Demonstrated ability to plan work and manage priorities with commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver large projects, including understanding of business-related drivers and parameters
  • Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well autonomously and in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning to stay current on trends and Oracle Cloud releases
  • Strong willingness to share skills, knowledge, and expertise with Associate and Senior consultants
  • Willing to travel as necessary

  • Strong understanding: Various domains such as networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing, software development, databases, etc. Understanding of business processes and how technology can be aligned with business goals. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals in a clear and understandable manner. In-depth knowledge of industry-specific technologies and best practices.
  • Strategic Leadership: Thought leadership for projects and require visionary leadership skills.
  • Client Management: Managing key client accounts and relationships at a high level is critical. Familiarity with different operating systems and software applications.
  • Industry Reputation: Building and maintaining a strong industry reputation and network are important
  • Business Development: Identifying and pursuing significant business growth opportunities is a core responsibility.
