We have an opportunity for a Legal and Settlement Specialist based in our Brisbane office.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Represent Allianz at settlement conferences, including Compulsory Conferences, and significantly contribute to the achievement of better than industry claim outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies which facilitate early and effective settlement negotiations which results in fair outcomes for all customers.
- Apply expert level negotiation practices to settlement processes, and the mentoring provided internally to claims staff.
- Support all Long Tail business to accurately assess entitlement and risk, working with individuals and teams to advise on and facilitate effective negotiations.
- Proactively provide high quality, customer focused, commercially oriented settlement advice and action
- Provide specialist support and advice on the interpretation and application of technical and legal information to local claims team
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Extensive experience in Insurance/ financial services (specific experience in the QLD CTP personal injury sector will be highly regarded).
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying legislation, legal principles, and guidelines with an understanding of legal processes and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
- Extensive technical experience in a personal injury claims business, and proven ability to develop successful claims strategies.
- Sound business acumen, business planning, data management experience.
