Media Consultant – Upsell

This position has the responsibility to develop relationships with new clients for Yellow Pages, as well as to upsell and grow programs within a pool of existing Yellow Pages customers. Working as part of our National Upsell team, you will contribute to our success by implementing proven initiatives to grow revenues, as well as bring new ideas and innovative strategies to upsell our large customer base. You will work closely with our Telesales team and Face-to-Face Account Managers to help facilitate a positive customer journey for our newly acquired customers, as well as for existing advertisers that we grow. You will not only be working with an existing book of business, but rather identifying new acquisition and growth opportunity from a large pool of existing YP customers!

The position is REMOTE – 100% Work from Home with no travel requirement!

Key areas of responsibilities:

 

  • Strong understanding of and ability to create, demonstrate and deliver multi-media advertising solutions to small and medium businesses in Canada.
  • Ability to effectively build rapport and generate interest with customers via phone and web meeting.
  • Prospecting and selling to clients that are not existing clients of YP.
  • Completing needs assessments with new and existing customers and designing recommendations/proposals for them to achieve their individual business goals.
  • Represent YP professionally and enthusiastically both to internal and external customers.
  • Agility and flexibility to pivot between different priorities and initiatives, depending on our Go to Market strategies

      

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of successful experience in Sales and Media advertising 
  • Diploma/ degree in Business, Marketing or Education an asset.
  • Working knowledge & aptitude to learn search engine marketing, optimization & social media advertising.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in French and English.       
  • Detail oriented, exceptional organization skills and effective time management
  • Strong ability to work independently to manage and prioritize tasks to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Understanding and/or aptitude to learn CRM software. Previous Salesforce experience an asset.
      

 

Technical Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of both creative and directive advertising across multiple mediums including Print, Online, Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, mobile applications, and Social Media             
  • Strong Cold Calling and Negotiation Skills
  • Diagnostic Solution Selling
  • Experience working in a CRM, Salesforce an asset
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Powerpoint
  • Google Analytics knowledge an asset
  • Google Certification an asset
